Hose and / or cable tray Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a hose and / or cable tray for conveying cables and hoses and of the type made of wire material with U-bent wires and attached longitudinal wires at the bottom and sides.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Cable and hose trays are rectangular modules comprising a bottom and two side walls at the longitudinal sides of the bottom. The plane of the side walls is usually substantially perpendicular to the plane of the floor, but other angles between the bottom and the side walls are also possible.
Cable trays are known which are made of wire material with U-bent wires and attached longitudinal wires at the bottom and sides.
Cable and hose trays are typically used to attach cables, pipes and / or hoses (hereafter referred to as cables) in buildings and are mounted on the substrate and most often with multiple cable and hose trays in extension by means of brackets, brackets or the like ( hereinafter simply referred to as brackets) which are attached to the substrate.
The cables can either be loosely placed in the cable and hose trays or they can be attached to the cable tray with commonly used fasteners, e.g. fittings, cable strips or the like for cables, hoses and / or pipes. Thus, in cable and hose trays of wire, it is easy to attach the cables at appropriate intervals in selected threads in the cable tray.
When mounting the cable and tubing tray in a vertical position, it is usually necessary to attach the cables to the tray to ensure that they remain in the cable and tubing tray.
The substrate is e.g. a ceiling or wall in a building. When mounted on a horizontal ceiling, the bottom of the cable and hose trays will be substantially parallel to the ceiling plane, ie. horizontal. When mounted on a wall, the bottom of the cable and tubing trays will extend substantially parallel to the plane of the wall. Ie the cable and hose trays are mounted horizontally by horizontal ceilings, vertically by vertical walls or inclined by inclined walls or ceilings.
A cable tray is e.g. disclosed in GB 2356741 A. This describes a cable tray of wire materials, the cable tray having a bottom and sides. Along the sides, the cable tray has a zig-zag bent wire.
However, the known cable trays have the disadvantage that they are not sufficiently stable and tend to deform if the weight of cables, pipes and / or hoses is high, so that there is a deflection and / or a deflection of the cable tray between consoles.
The object of the invention
It is thus the object of the invention to provide cable and hose trays which are stable to form, thereby eliminating or at least substantially reducing deflection and / or bending.
It is also the object of the invention to provide cable and hose trays where the desired shape stability can be achieved with reduced wire thickness.
Finally, the object of the invention is to provide a cable and hose tray which is easy to clean, so that any particulate decay, e.g. dust from the cable trays can be eliminated or at least substantially reduced.
Description of the Invention
These objects of the invention are achieved by the hose and / or cable tray (hereinafter also referred to simply as cable tray) of the type initially provided for conveying cables and hoses and of the type made in wire material with U-bent wires and the like. attached longitudinal threads at the bottom and sides.
The cable and hose tray according to the invention is special in that the bottom of the tray is stiffened by the addition of at least one zigzag bent wire.
This results in a form-stable sandwich construction in which the strands, in the at least three layers of strands, lie in different directions in the strata. This provides the cable tray with good mold stability and eliminates or at least reduces deformation of the cable tray in the form of deflection and / or deflection at a given weight load.
The width of the cable and hose tray is determined by the distance between the vertical sides of the U-bent threads. The number of longitudinal threads in the hose and cable tray for very narrow cable trays may be at least two and will increase with the width of the hose and cable tray, so that wider hose and cable trays will typically have more long-sawing threads than a narrow cable tray. Large distance between the side walls of the cable trays, ie. wide cable trays, leading to increased propensity for down and / or bending, especially at the bottom. The deflection and / or deflection can be elegantly avoided with the sandwich construction at the bottom of the hose and / or cable tray according to the invention.
In addition, it becomes possible to increase the distance between the brackets, brackets or the like (hereinafter simply called brackets) with which the hose and / or cable tray is attached to the substrate, without thereby increasing or deflecting the cable tray between the brackets. The distance between the consoles can e.g. increases from 2 meters to 3 meters without increasing cable bending or deflection. This reduces the time and material consumption when installing the cable trays, thereby reducing the total cost of installation.
This reinforced sandwich construction also makes it possible to achieve the desired shape stability by a desired weight load of the hose and / or cable tray and at the same time to produce the hose and / or cable tray in reduced diameter wire. This reduces material costs and reduces production costs.
The cable tray is usually made of metal wire, including especially corrosion resistant materials of e.g. steel, steel alloys such as AISI 316 or 304 types of steel, and / or hot or galvanized steel, aluminum, aluminum alloys or similar cleaning friendly materials. This provides cleaning-friendly cable trays, and since the cable trays are of wire, it is also possible to clean the cables mounted in the trays without having to separate the cable trays. This makes it possible to use the cable trays in environments where frequent cleaning is required, e.g. due to regulatory requirements, such as in the pharmaceutical, food, and slaughterhouses.
The wires in the cable tray are soldered or welded together at the contact points where two wires intersect. However, it is also possible to make the cable tray in wire made of mold-resistant plastic that is soldered, welded or glued together.
The wire thickness is typically 2-25 mm and depends on the size of the cable tray and the desired carrying capacity of the pipe / hose or cable tray and thus the weight that the cable tray must be able to carry.
The reinforced sandwich construction of the cable tray and the many joints between the threads in the various layers of threads ensure a sandwich structure with high form stability, where the folding and / or bending of the cable tray is avoided or at least substantially reduced.
It is preferred that the at least one zigzag bend wire of the hose and / or cable tray is bent so that the bends lie between one of the longitudinal side edges of the bottom and the closest longitudinal wire in the bottom of the cable tray. Thereby, the inclined thread portions between the bends of the zigzag bent wire extend substantially between the two side edges of the cable tray. This ensures the shape stability throughout the width of the cable tray and helps to prevent, in particular, said bending and / or bending when the cable tray is suspended between the mounting brackets and is loaded with weight from pipes, cables and / or hoses.
It is preferred that the longitudinal strands in the bottom of the cable tray are disposed on the outside of the U-bent strands. Alternatively, the longitudinal threads at the bottom of the cable tray are disposed on the inside of the U-bent threads. The at least one zigzag bent wire is attached to the longitudinal threads and on the opposite side thereof to the U-bent threads. This results in the sandwich structure mentioned above around the longitudinal wires, which is thereby secured against the said bending and / or bending when the cable tray is suspended and loaded with weight from cables, pipes, hoses, etc.
In a variant of the cable tray, the zigzag bent wire is positioned relative to the longitudinal threads, so that an opening is formed between the perpendicular and the longitudinally adjacent longitudinal thread. This ensures a very clean-friendly design of the cable tray, where all surfaces of the wire structure can be easily cleaned, because no pockets in the structure arise where liquids, dirt, dust and similar liquid and / or particulate matter can collect. Thereby, the fallout of this type of material from ceiling and / or wall-hung cable trays can be eliminated by regular cleaning or at least substantially reduced.
The cable trays can also be designed with a fuse that holds cables, pipes and / or hoses inside the tray so that they are freely accessible for cleaning while being kept inside the cable tray. The fuse is e.g. formed by the fact that the U-bent wires at each end have a leg extending substantially parallel to the plane at the bottom of the cable tray. These legs are rotated along one side of the cable tray towards one end surface and along the other side of the cable tray towards the other end surface. Thus, the legs along each side of the cable tray are rotated toward each end surface of the cable tray. This fuse allows cables and / or pipes to be easily placed in the tray and cannot fall out of the tray during cleaning, e.g. if flushed with a jet of water, e.g. from a high-pressure cleaner.
Character description
The invention will be described in the following with reference to the drawing, in which: FIG. 1 is a bottom view of a hose and / or cable tray according to the invention; FIG. 2 is a top plan view of a hose and / or cable tray according to the invention; FIG. 3 is a side view of a hose and / or cable tray according to the invention; 4 shows the bottom of the hose and / or cable tray as seen from the bottom and in per specific FIG. 5 shows a variation of the hose and / or cable tray with securing of cables and / or hoses figs. 6a-6d illustrate deflection in known hose and / or cable trays with insufficient shape stability.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION When hoses, pipes and / or electrical and / or data cables are routed around a building, it is known to use a hose and / or cable tray 1 for the purpose. These are attached to brackets 11 mounted under a ceiling or wall, ie. typically in horizontal, vertical or possibly inclined position, the latter under sloping ceilings or walls.
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a hose and / or cable tray 1 according to the invention, which is made of wire material. The hose and / or cable tray 1 has a bottom 2 and two sides 3. The sides are typically perpendicular to the bottom 2.
Hose and / or cable tray 1 is made of wire material and with U-bent wires 4 and attached longitudinal wires 5 at the bottom and sides of the U-bent wires 4. To reinforce the construction of the hose and / or cable tray 1, the base 2 stiffened by adding at least one zigzag bent 6.
This at least one zigzag bent wire 6 is bent so that the bends (7 ', 7 ") are located between one of the longitudinal side edges 9 of the bottom 2 and the nearest longitudinal thread 5', 5" in the bottom 2 of the cable tray.
The longitudinal wires 5 in the bottom 2 of the cable tray are preferably arranged on the outside of the U-bent wires 4. Alternatively, the longitudinal wires 5 in the bottom 2 of the cable tray are arranged on the inside of the U-bent wires.
The at least one zigzag bent wire 6 is attached to the longitudinal wires 5 and on the opposite side thereof relative to the U-bent wires 4. This results in the aforementioned sandwich structure which stiffens the hose and / or cable tray 1, so that the out and / or bending is significantly avoided or reduced.
The zigzag curved wire 6 is preferably positioned relative to the longitudinal threads 5, so that an opening 8 is formed between the folds 7 ', 7 "and the longitudinal threads 5', 5" which are closest to the folded, so that no areas in the structure arise. , where water, liquids, dust, dirt and / or other material that cannot be easily removed during cleaning, e.g. for cleaning, flushing with a jet of water, such as using a high-pressure cleaner or similar cleaning equipment.
The hose and / or cable tray is optionally equipped with securing means 10 which ensure that hoses and / or cables cannot fall out of the tray, see fig. 5. The fuse is e.g. formed by the fact that the U-bent wires 4 at each end of the sides 3 have a leg extending substantially parallel to a plane at the bottom 2 of the cable tray. The legs along each side 3 of the cable tray 1 are pivoted against each end surface of the cable tray, the legs along one side 3 being rotated against one end surface and the legs 10 along the other side 3 being rotated against the other end surface. This fuse 10 allows cables and / or pipes to be easily laid down in the tray without the use of tools, and no need to attach hoses and / or cables with additional means, e.g. clips, brackets or cable strips. The fuse 10 means that hoses and / or cables cannot fall out of the hose and / or cable tray 1 during cleaning, e.g. if they are flushed with a jet of water from, for example, a high-pressure cleaner.
Bending means deflection of the bottom of known cable trays and possibly sides due to the weight load from cables, tubes and / or hoses placed in the cable tray illustrated in FIG. 6a-6d. A1-A4 refers to the original shape of the hose and / or cable tray 1 where there is no deflection or deflection.
The deflection may be most evident in a cross-section through the tray, see fig. 6a, wherein a portion of the bottom 2, e.g. center, bends downwardly relative to an unloaded cable tray 1 illustrated by the dashed line A. It can be seen in FIG. 6a, that the center of the bottom 2 deflects along a longitudinal centerline of the cable tray 1, so that the center is below the edge 9 between the side wall and the bottom (see Fig. 6a). The dashed line A1 indicates the bottom position of a tray without load and deflection, and the Bl arrow indicates the deflection at the bottom of the cable tray.
Bending of the entire cable tray 1 can also occur between two brackets 11 used for mounting the cable tray 1 on a wall or under a ceiling, see figs. 6b and 6d. Here, the dotted line A2, A4 refers to the shape of the cable tray in non-deformed state and the arrows B2, B4 indicate the deflection of the cable tray between the two brackets 11.
Deflection will most often occur when the cable tray is mounted so that the bottom 2 is vertical, see fig. 6c. In such cases, the weight of cables, tubes and / or hoses (not shown) attached to the bottom 2 of a traditional cable tray, e.g. with traditional cable strips (not shown), load the bottom so that the bottom 2 bends to one side, illustrated by the arrows B3, as compared to a vertical unloaded bottom, illustrated by the dotted line A3.
